You are full of great ideas! I'll have to think on this one too!
Addy would have gone on to that school for "colored children" in her short story and become a teacher. She will spend much time analyzing, in Addy's patient way, what freedom should mean to everyone, not just former slaves, and would tell her students willingly about her life both in slavery and free. I think she would use these times to gain insight into how others perceive freedom; I get the feeling that's a very special perception to her. She'd be the one teacher every student would remember as one of their heroes.
